  The salespersons attitude at this store resulted in me turning to their competitor and getting a savings of $400 for 3 pillows. The lady behind the counter was not very helpful AT ALL when I asked her to assist with locating a suitable fabric. She never asked what I was looking for or if she could help but merely made a broad hand gesture and told me that they offered lots of things and I needed to just look around and immediately went back to her paperwork. When I finally found a suitable fabric it was up high and just out of my reach so I asked her to assist with it. Before she reached to get the fabric, she immediately told me the price as though she thought that I could not afford it. I explained that I was well aware of the price I just needed to get the feel of it and compare it more closely to the item I was trying to match it to. She then immediately told me that she could not cut it (I didn't need her to). I inwardly reasoned that maybe she was being so uncooperative because she felt like I was really not going to purchase anything and she maybe thought that she wash wasting her time. Upon a closer examination, I decided to buy the fabric and have her store to make the pillows as well. I expressed this to her and she immediately spat out, " The labor cost is $96." I told her that, that was okay. She then added. "Per pillow". Throughout the entire conversation she repeatedly made a point of spouting prices at me as if to deter me or to insinuate that I couldn't afford it. There were two things that this lady was unaware of: 1) Once I located the fabric, I had fallen in love with it and had made up my mind to buy it and have her company make down pillows from it and 2) Cost was no object. Her obnoxious behavior went on until she tallied her final figures. Her estimate came up to: $228.36 PER PILLOW and she then went on to say that the price might even go up after she called the fabric distributor on Monday to check availability. I felt that she was definitely padding the price and decided to go to another Fabric warehouse across the street just to compare. Because she was so nasty, she lost my business and I ended up getting the best customer service ever (at her competitor), I am having the same pillows made from what appears to be the same fabric for $285.78/for all three. I felt that she made an incorrect stereotypical assumption about me and she lacked greatly in customer service skills. She was not a very good representative for the company and if deterring business was her goal, she certainly succeeded. She drove me to seek a second estimate which resulted in their competitor having a new customer.
